California Community Colleges Board of Governors Approves System-wide Enrollment Priorities to Increase Student Success
September 11th, 2012FYI
“New students who have completed college orientation, assessment and developed education plans as well as continuing students in good academic standing who have not exceeded 100 units will now have priority over students who do not meet these criteria.”
Blog:
100 Units? Transfer to UC/CSU requires 60 units.
It would seem best that those students with +60 units should be last to register. Doing such would increase access for new students who are just seeking to pursue an undergraduate opportunity to transfer. If they haven’t figured out yet how to transfer, its quite possible they never will. Shouldn’t counselors be carefully monitoring/managing those students with +60 units to ensure transfer? Are they?

According to the Press Enterprise 11/14/2012 MSJC has only 2 of the 18 pieces in place to allow Students to transfer, per Calif. State Law ! Maybe it is time for a BIG SHAKE UP ! within the Administration ? You Think !!
