College faculty, staff, protest raises to two administrators/San Marcos
May 17th, 2012FYI
“Palomar College staff and faculty members last week protested the board’s decision to raise pay for two administrators by 10 and 19 percent, while most Palomar staff have gone four years without a raise.”
“Forty-seven administrators, including President Deegan, and other vice presidents, the college’s deans and various superviors directors and managers, earned a total of about %5.6 million in 2010.”
Blog:
Boards act upon the recommendation of the Superintendent President and few elected trustees say “NO”. Community colleges across the state are reducing class sections (”workload reductions”) so why do these fat cats think they need a raise?
This is exactly why taxpayers don’t want to provide the state more dollars.
