Blog:
The BOT Agenda states “education opportunities to Pass residents is among the highest Education Master Plan priorities”. This is NOT true. The BOT voted a few months back to spend +$600k for a comprehensive facilities master plan document which has NOT been presented/reviewed and/or BOT approved.
Asking voters to tax themselves $47 Million dollars for a campus in an area of the district in which NO enrollment studies/projections and analysis have been done is counter state planning parameters. Presently and until new student enrollments reach 500 FTES there are ZERO operating revenues available for a Pass campus.
ALL operating $$$ for the Pass campus would be subsidized by current general fund revenues which takes from the existing two state approved sites and negatively impacts the capacity to load rates on those campuses to qualify for new state funded facilities. Four trustees will vote for this, but will voters do the same?
