Menifee: City, police study substation at MSJC

When will they inform the BOT? Who directs the “study”? Will the BOT get to read it?
So much about the college PD at MSJC has been non-transparent. The internal investigation was never disclosed and former officers complaints ignored. The million dollar cost was outrageous. Whatever happens with this sub-station, let the sheriff direct it.

The only involvement the BOT will have is when they blindly vote based on Roger’s recommendation.
It is curios that the BOT would ever consider voting in favor of Roger’s recommendation. We have all seen his horrifying decisions that have lead to wrongful terminations, lawsuits, negative publicity, lies to the public and press from Irma Ramos and Karen Marriot, etc.
Roger is to blame for all of the above simply because of the following:
1.The majority of the issues occurred while he was the President/Superintendent.
2.He refused to meet with employees that were attempting to protect the district from the corruption within the PD.
3.When brought to his attention he FAILED to investigate ANY of the allegations.
4.Roger failed to act appropriately when he learned that CPL. Mark Medina had lied under oath (Documentation was provided to Roger). Roger obviously supports his police officers telling lies even when they get caught.
5.Roger only acted when the District Attorneys Investigators raided the college with a search warrant. ( 7 months after he learned of Segawa’s malfeasance he [Segawa] was put on a paid admin leave)
6.Upon realizing that all of the allegations in the lawsuits were true and accurate what has Roger done? NOTHING! He has not attempted to resolve the lawsuits in any way.
7.He has allowed Irma and Karen Marriot to make claims like:
“The District acted swiftly to ensure continued public safety and stability within the MSJC Police Department…” Irma Ramos.
Really? 8 months after the fact you put Segawa on a paid administrative leave and that is “swift”??????
“The college does not tolerate personnel who violate the law and we are pleased this matter has been resolved. The college cooperated with the district attorney’s office.” College Spokeswoman Karin Marriott.
Really? The College “tolerated” Segawa’s violations of the law 1 year after it was alerted. The district has violated numerous laws while supporting the wrongful termination of 3 police officers and a forced resignation of and CSEA represented employee. When will they “not Tolerate” Irma Ramos and her violations of policy and the law?
8.Roger has disrespected Ann by ignoring her repated attemtps to obtain any investigation done by the district.
Roger is as much to blame as Kevin Segawa is…He allowed it, supported it and attempted to cover up all of it. HE too is GUILTY!
Personally I would expect much more from an institution of higher learning. Most if not all of the administrators involved (Roger, Irma, etc.) have Master degrees or better.
Apparently a college degree does not amount to doing the right thing or acting ethically and morally responsible.
To answer your question Ann, you will never see a “study” just like you never saw their supposed investigation….it will end up missing with all of the other incriminating evidence.
