MSJC/Banning bureaucrats (Friends of MSJC) want taxpayers to burden themselves more in a SFID for an “interim” campus in Banning that will NOT qualify for operating funds until/unless it generates +500 New FTES. Moving existing FTES to new district owned facilities will hurt the SJC cap load number unless the new FTES are dramatically high (unlikely).
The question is how many new FTES above existing FTES will there be? And, how much further above cap can we go? Without approvals the campus will generate ZERO operational funds and budgets are compromised.
From the States’s perspective districts should fully load existing owned facilities before building new ones. Common sense.
