Green Schools Don’t Make the Grade/NCPA

Conclusion: “Washington’s experience with green building standards demonstrates that these buildings have higher than expected costs, and the energy savings and other projected benefits are either small or nonexistent.”

The federal government’s mandate to spend an additonal $20 Billion from Washington for this purpose is amiss. The expense will NOT impact student performance levels, NOT reduce school operating costs and NOT reduce emissions. So why spend $20 Billion for this purpose?
