Ballot doom/PE OpEd
May 8th, 2009“Blind fear is not a rational basis for deciding on ballot measures. Voters should judge the May 19 propositions on whether the measures set sensible policy, and not act in a politically driven panic.”
Blog:
Memories of 2006 & MSJC’s $720 million failed Measure G. Facilities are necessary but directing architects to draw plans above state revenue allocations requiring millions in general fund contributions is inefficient and prohibits student access by reducing general fund revenues available for class section offerings.
MSJC owns an empty 15 classroom building at Menifee in need of upgrade to meet Field Act standards. The district has spent millions on lease/tenant improvement costs for a leased building in Temecula rather than improve the district’s owned property. The same students would attend either location.
Politics over sound fiscal policy….why voters are saying NO.

I live right new Menifee, but have to attend a class in Temecula because it was the only class still open at the time of my registration appointment. Everything else was full.
Unless one has a early registration date, it’s down right hard to get into some classes.
Sorry. I meant “next” not “new”.
