Ok Ann, so you posted information that has already been disclosed. What does the B.O.T. intend on doing about this or does the B.O.T. not see a HUGE problem with this relationship?
Also, the B.O.T. needs to know the College, the Board and the Police Department are the laughing stocks of local government. I was in court earlier this week and several police officers from other jurisdictions were in the officers lounge. Many were talking about this incident and were SHOCKED that the Police Chief has not been placed on leave pending the outcome of this investigation. Several officers commented on how the Chief must have “Dirt” on someone high up at the college as there must be a reason the administration is protecting him. This incident has sullied the reputation of the administration and the board. The lack of action speaks for itself.
Does the B.O.T. not understand the serious nature of the allegations? Theft of evidence, theft of personal property under color of authority, committing a theft while armed with a firearm!
I suppose since the partner, Dr. Tyler, of the person responsible for placing Kevin Segawa as Police Chief is investigating, Joe Zampi, Kevin the board really does not take this very serious. Its a sham investigation and the longer this drags out the worse the college appears in the public eye.
Seems as though the sex on duty incident is just the tip of the iceberg of the wrongdoings of the Police Department and the District.
Disgraceful really……..
Yes, this is the tip of the iceburg but jumping on Ann is not the answer, after all she is putting the issues out there for everyone to see. She is a true PUBLIC servant. The BOT can only act with 3 votes. Folks need to jump on the other 4 board members, not Ann. Why not call the other 4 BOT members, their silence is the real problem. Let’s work on the real problem, and move on.
This is not jumping on Ann. I fully support Ann and her platform. However, I want to hear her publicy ask the B.O.T at the next board meeting for a full and complete INDEPENDENT investigation of the Police Department, the Distric’s administrators and the Police Chief.
I am beginning to wonder if ANYONE there wants an independent investigation as they are most likely afraid of what else they will find!
If Ann does this then the other members of the B.O.T. are publicly forced to deny they want an investigation.
When first informed of this matter, I communicated with the S/P that the district needed an “independent investigation” and not use Zampi. The response was that Zampi had already been hired and investigation was in-process. With this new information I clearly believe there is a conflict of interest and have communicated such to the S/P.
Ann, I have full confidence you have done this privately. However, lets hear you say it publicly at the next B.O.T. meeting and lets see the reaction from the other members. At that point it will force them to make a decision PUBLICLY.
Lets stop all the behind closed doors nonsense and get this all out in the open. I will be in attendance next week as will the media (I am assuming) so I look forward to you bringing this out in the open and forcing the B.O.T. to act.
Ann, are you KIDDING me? ANOTHER employee is accusing the Chief of wrongdoing? This is now FOUR people! This is getting too much and going to cost the District.
