“Should the mid-year budget proposal pass, California community colleges would be forced to turn away 262,845 students, according to Scott Lay, president and chief executive officer of the Community College League of California.”

If state mid-year cuts are 5%, MSJC will need to cut 10% or use reserves funds. These types of cuts are usually made on the backs of students through “enrollment management” efforts which cut available class sections impacting access. It is highly unlikely that overcap FTES will be fully funded.



From the looks of it Ann, the District better start saving up for the legal bills and pending lawsuits. talk about wasted money that could be going towards education. Instead the District will be lining the pockets of your law firm.
