“Lobbying Expense: During the year ended June 30, 2006 the Foundation contributed $30,000 from unrestricted funds to ‘Yes for Measure G, Yes for MSJC’ and $1,000 to the ‘Californians for Community College ballot initiative’. Measure G was initiated to raise funds for MSJC and the amount contributed by the Foundation was used for advertising in support of the Measure. The remaining balance of unspent funds amounting to $12,227 was donated to the Foundation in October 2006 and is included in other receivables at June 30, 2006.”
