“Starting Sept.2, the college will hold four night classes at Banning High School. The college is also doubling the number of classes it offers at Beaumont High School to 14. The college hopes to eventually open a satellite campus on 48 acres off Sunset Avenue in Banning, according to college officials.”
“The college has offered classes in Banning in the past but local reaction was lukewarm. Classes were canceled in the past when not enough students enrolled.” Mike Rose, one of two counselors working at the service center in Banning

Pictures of the proposed 48 acre Banning campus site are posted on this website. College courses offered in the high schools within the Pass area are positive for students, however it is highly unlikely that 18 class sections will generate enough FTES to cover the cost of the two counselors/staff at the center. A community college campus “center” by definition serves 500 FTES (full-time equivalent students) which would require hundreds of class section offerings.
